Job description


Assignment:                          

  • Part time, year round
    • Flexible schedule includes evening and Sat. classes (fall classess start Sept 11)

Wages:

  • Starting at $20.60 per hour

  • Not benefit eligible.


Primary Objective of Positions:
Provide instruction and coaching services in a high quality gymnastics program for children ages 3 through 18, including preschool tumbling, beginner through intermediate, and/or  MAGA pre-team and competition teams.  
Job Responsibilities:




  1. Coach various skill levels and ages on floor, beam, vault, and bars; supervise participants.
  2. Help all children to develop to their full potential.
  3. Provide instruction according to the skills identified per class and feedback for improvement
  4. Follow program curriculum, goals and guidelines
  5. Ensure that all participants follow Minnetonka School District guidelines and code of conduct.
  6. Participate in coach training sessions
  7. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Extensive background in gymnastics
  2. Evidence of successful coaching experience, ability to teach fundamental gymnastics skills, and knowledge of spotting skills
  3. Positive, enthusiastic, respectful attitude
  4. Ability to relate well to children and teens as well as parents.
  5. Ability to work in a collaborative coaching atmosphere
  6. Commitment to program's high standards
  7. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
