Job Description
This is a part-time, weekday-only, year-round position. Under the supervision of the School Programs Coordinator, the Year-Round Counselor is responsible for leading activities, fostering positive relationships, and supporting school-age participants in a recreational setting.
The counselor ensures all duties are carried out in alignment with the program's core values, goals, and policies established by administrative staff.
Programming may include, but is not limited to:
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Food Experiences
  • Dance, Drama & Movement
  • Clinics

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude and create a fun, safe, and friendly environment
  • Supervise participants and build strong, respectful relationships with youth, families, and staff
  • Lead and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with program goals
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and model appropriate behavior
  • Ensure participant's safety and address behavioral concerns as needed
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and families
  • Follow all policies and procedures, including those related to safety, emergencies, and reporting requirements
  • Maintain clean, safe program spaces and equipment
  • Document and report incidents as required
