A Liquid Transfer Operator at Clean Harbors (or its subsidiary, Safety-Kleen) is responsible for the safe handling, transfer, loading, unloading, and storage of liquid materials such as used oil, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, chemicals, and other industrial liquids. The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and efficient facility operations.

Shift: Days (Sun - Thurs) 7am-3pm

- High School diploma or equivalent required;
- Must be 18 years or older;
- 1+ Years of related experience;
- Fork lift experience preferred (Not Required);
- Ability to use computer;
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds;

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Load and unload tank trucks, railcars, and storage tanks.
- Transfer liquids using pumps, hoses, valves, and piping systems.
- Monitor tank levels, pressures, and flow rates during transfers.
- Collect samples for laboratory testing and quality control.
- Inspect transfer equipment before and after use.
- Complete transfer logs, shipping paperwork, and inventory records.
- Follow OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Respond to spills or emergencies according to company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of tanks, transfer areas, and equipment.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
