  • Maintain accurate attendance, enrollment, incident, medication, emergency, and transportation records.
  • Communicate professionally and consistently with parents, guardians, schools, staff, and center leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with Maryland State Department of Education requirements, center policies, health and safety standards, and staff-to-child ratios.
  • Assist with student behavior management using positive, age-appropriate, and restorative practices.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, injuries, behavioral concerns, and parent questions.
  • Monitor classroom and activity areas to ensure they are clean, safe, adequately staffed, and properly supplied.
  • Support enrollment, family orientation, open houses, and student transition activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and center events.
  • Perform other duties necessary for the effective operation of the program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory, lead teacher, site coordinator, or program management experience strongly preferred.
  • Must meet or be able to meet all applicable Maryland State Department of Education requirements for the position.
  • Knowledge of child development, positive behavior support, classroom management, and school-age programming.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise staff and manage multiple student groups, schedules, and responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate program records.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification before employment.
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks, medical clearances, and employment screenings.
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required for transportation-related responsibilities.

Required Christian Commitment

Candidates must:

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Christian faith and Christian values, as evidenced by active participation in a Christian, Bible-believing church.
