Job description

Manufacturing RPO Recruiter – Client Facing
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, client-focused Manufacturing RPO Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing multiple requisitions across plant and manufacturing operations while providing a high level of service to candidates, hiring managers, HR partners, and client leadership.
This is more than a transactional recruiting role. The Recruiter will serve as a client-facing talent acquisition partner, providing market insight, influencing hiring decisions, identifying recruiting challenges, and developing sourcing strategies to help the client meet critical workforce needs.
The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, can quickly shift priorities, communicates proactively, and takes ownership of the recruiting process from intake through hire.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Manufacturing Recruiting
Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of manufacturing and plant-based positions, including production, material handling, skilled trades, maintenance, technical, supervisory, and other operational roles.
Manage a fast-paced requisition workload while maintaining strong quality, candidate experience, and responsiveness.
Conduct detailed intake meetings with hiring managers to understand position requirements, business needs, hiring timelines, and candidate profiles.
Source, screen, assess, and present qualified candidates based on both technical requirements and overall fit.
Coordinate closely with recruiting coordinators, sourcers, HR partners, and hiring managers to move candidates efficiently through the hiring process.
Maintain consistent candidate follow-up from initial contact through offer acceptance and onboarding.
Develop proactive sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill roles and locations with limited talent pools.
Support hiring surges, new shifts, expansions, and other high-volume workforce needs as required.
Client Partnership & Stakeholder Management
Serve as a client-facing recruiting partner and trusted advisor to hiring managers, HR partners, plant leadership, and Talent Acquisition leadership.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and establish credibility through responsiveness, follow-through, recruiting expertise, and knowledge of the client’s business.
Lead regular recruiting updates and hiring discussions with client stakeholders.
Proactively communicate progress, challenges, risks, and recommended solutions rather than waiting for client escalation.
Set clear expectations with hiring managers regarding recruiting timelines, candidate availability, interview processes, and market conditions.
Provide consultative recommendations when hiring requirements, compensation, scheduling, location, or other factors are limiting candidate attraction.
Confidently challenge or influence hiring expectations when supported by recruiting data and market feedback.
Maintain a strong service-oriented mindset while balancing the needs of candidates, hiring managers, and the overall RPO partnership.
Sourcing & Talent Market Strategy
Develop sourcing strategies tailored to manufacturing and skilled-trades talent markets.
Utilize job boards, resume databases, social media, referrals, community partnerships, technical and trade schools, workforce organizations, and direct sourcing.
Identify alternative talent pools when traditional sourcing methods are not producing results.
Develop pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill plant positions.
Partner with sourcing resources to establish targeted outreach campaigns.
Capture candidate feedback and market intelligence regarding compensation, schedules, shifts, commute expectations, benefits, and competitor opportunities.
Recruiting Analytics & RPO Performance
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the applicant tracking system and other RPO reporting tools.
Monitor recruiting metrics including applicant volume, sourcing activity, candidate reach-outs, response rates, screens, submissions, interviews, offers, acceptances, time-to-fill, aging requisitions, and candidate declines.
Use recruiting data to identify bottlenecks and recommend adjustments to improve hiring outcomes.
Provide client stakeholders with meaningful recruiting insights—not simply activity updates.
Identify trends across locations, positions, shifts, compensation, candidate feedback, and hiring-manager activity.
Maintain strong compliance with established client processes, service-level expectations, and RPO performance standards.
Qualifications
3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience preferred.
Previous experience recruiting within manufacturing, skilled trades, supply chain, distribution, production, engineering, or plant operations strongly preferred.
RPO, staffing, agency, or high-volume corporate recruiting experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to conduct effective intake meetings and translate business needs into actionable recruiting strategies.
Experience with proactive sourcing and passive-candidate outreach.
Comfortable presenting recruiting updates, market intelligence, and recommendations directly to client stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and escalate risks appropriately.
Experience working within an ATS and recruiting technology platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Competencies
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Client Partnership: Builds credibility and develops trusted relationships with hiring managers, HR, and operational leadership.
Sense of Urgency: Moves quickly and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing recruiting environment.
Ownership: Takes accountability for requisitions and proactively drives the hiring process forward.
Consultative Recruiting: Goes beyond order-taking by providing recommendations, market intelligence, and solutions.
Communication: Keeps stakeholders informed and communicates risks before they become escalations.
Adaptability: Adjusts quickly to changing hiring volumes, priorities, and business needs.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Uses recruiting metrics and candidate feedback to influence hiring strategy.
Candidate Experience: Maintains professional, timely, and transparent communication throughout the recruiting process.
Problem Solving: Identifies barriers and develops creative solutions for difficult-to-fill positions and challenging talent markets.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position means consistently delivering qualified talent while becoming a trusted extension of the client’s Talent Acquisition and HR organization. The Recruiter will understand the client’s manufacturing operations, anticipate hiring challenges, maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, and use data and market intelligence to continuously improve recruiting outcomes.
This role requires someone who can move fast without sacrificing quality, confidently manage client relationships, and take ownership of hiring challenges from identification through solution
