What Youโ€™ll Do:

As the Retail Beer & Wine Manager, youโ€™ll oversee the performance and compliance of the beer and wine category while supporting overall store leadership.

  • Manage the Beer & Wine Program: Supervise daily beer and wine sales operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and compliance.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to federal, state, and local alcohol laws as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Educate team members on alcohol sales compliance, product knowledge, and responsible service.
  • Drive Category Performance: Monitor sales trends and implement merchandising and promotional strategies to grow the category.
  • Manage Inventory: Oversee ordering, product rotation, and inventory accuracy to control costs and maintain product freshness.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: Work with suppliers to manage product assortment, pricing, and promotional opportunities.
  • Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Ensure every guest receives knowledgeable service and a positive store experience.
  • Support Store Leadership: Oversee store operations and team activities when the Senior Retail Manager is not present.
  • Communicate Operational Needs: Work closely with the Senior Retail Manager to address staffing needs, performance trends, and compliance matters.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys product knowledge, strong merchandising, and leading a team while maintaining strict compliance standards.

Qualifications:

To succeed as a Retail Beer & Wine Manager, youโ€™ll bring the following experience and skills:

  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of beer and wine products, regulations, and merchandising.
  • Experience: Previous supervisory or management experience in retail, convenience, or alcohol sales preferred.
  • Legal Requirements: Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol sales according to state law.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team Management: Ability to delegate responsibilities, guide staff, and maintain accountability.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management tools preferred.
