About Us: Bernick's is a 5th generation family-owned provider of beverages, vending and food solutions, representing leading brands such as Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Miller Brewing Company and New England Coffee. We service locations in greater MN and western WI.
Job Summary: The Beer Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a sales team to drive volume growth, market share, and customer satisfaction across assigned territories and accounts. This role oversees sales execution, customer relationships, pricing and promotional strategies, and team performance while ensuring alignment with company goals and supplier expectations. The Sales Manager collaborates closely with operations, merchandising, and leadership teams to deliver exceptional service and profitable growth.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve sales goals and performance expectations
  • Continually direct and monitor the Sales Team in the areas of sales, placements, distribution, product rotation, code dates, pricing, POS, displays, and cooler position/sets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail customers, key accounts, and supplier partners
  • Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and improve results
  • Conduct regular market visits, ride-alongs, and account reviews to support team development and execution standards
  • Monitor territory performance and ensure achievement of volume, revenue, and profitability targets
  • Partner with merchandising, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure high levels of customer service and product availability
  • Assist with annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and sales strategy development

Requirements
  • Previous beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or route sales experience preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic business decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport products weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Travel may be required as part of this role to support various Bernick's locations, events, or business needs. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be conducted as part of the hiring process and evaluated in relation to the requirements of the role
  • Team members in this position may be required to handle, move, and work with a variety of products, including alcoholic beverages, nicotine products, pork products, and other regulated consumer goods.
