Job description

SUMMARY: Responsible for producing food products efficiently while maintaining quality standards. This entry-level role involves performing basic, hands-on tasks such as assembling, packing, stacking, and palletizing food products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Visually inspect products for defects and remove any non-conforming items
  • Ensure adequate quantities of products are available to meet order requirements
  • Operate and maintain a basic understanding of food processing and packaging equipment
  • Follow all sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Understand and follow USDA and HACCP guidelines
  • Rotate through various positions on the production line as needed
  • Be open to cross-training and assist in other tasks or departments when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to perform all essential duties with accuracy and efficiency
  • Basic comprehension of simple instructions in English
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and adhere to safety regulations
  • Capability to work in a cold, wet, and noisy production environment
  • Physical ability to frequently lift, push, or move up to 50 pounds
  • Previous food manufacturing experience is a plus

Pay Range
The base pay range for this role is $17.00 USD/Hourly
The listed salary range represents Kayem Foods' good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire pay ranges.
Ranges are reviewed on a regular basis. An employee's rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued wage growth. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for an annual wage review. Kayem Foods complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
