Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Cross functional collaboration daily with PD, Design and buying
  • Allocate, source and develop high quality yarn & fabric
  • Identify problem areas and provide viable solutions, which includes foreshadowing any potential future issues
  • Collaborate closely with Design to ensure quality intent and cost intent are clear
  • Lead WIP tracking and factory performance to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Lead partnership with factories to ensure cost negotiation, while also maintaining aesthetic and quality requirements
  • Be the main point of contact/communicator of changes and alerts cross-functional departments (Buyers, PD, Design, Tech and Purchasing)
  • Communicate with mills
  • Communicate with factories
  • Provide price targets and guidance within the team
  • Enter all yarns into PLM and LG’s
  • Managing the data entry for knits in PLM
  • Build platformed yarns across brands
  • Sourcing new core yarns
  • Following up on all FIS’s for yarn sourced
  • Working with Design cross-functionally, selecting and sourcing yarn for each season.
  • Support the development and organization of a comprehensive yarn library for the R&D team.
  • Partner with PLM to track, trace and maintain accurate records of all yarns
  • Attend fabric shows and mill appointments as needed
  • Assist in creation and implementation of product development calendars
  • Manage multiple brands or categories to oversee the fabric research and development process to its entirety
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management

Required Competencies:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Possess strong knowledge of yarn, fabric, trims, quality and developments
  • Knowledge of garment construction and finishing
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership skills

  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to ensure deliveries are met

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 year college education
  • 5 years experience in Product Development within the Knitwear Category
  • Basic knowledge of PLM software, excel, outlook, google

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 year college education
  • 10 years experience in Product Development within the Knitwear Category
  • Extensive knowledge of PLM software, excel, outlook, google
  • Extensive knowledge of PD and Production including and how bulk is both landed
  • shipped and affects costing across the board
  • Understanding of platforming fabrics and how this affects bottom line and T+A
  • Must be able to perform efficiently with tight deadlines

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $90,000 to $95,000.
