Job description

Grave Shift Security Officer

As a grave shift security officer, you will help ensure our property remains a safe and welcoming environment for every guest and team member. From proactive patrols to providing assistance with professionalism and care, you'll play a key role in delivering the kind of service that sets MGM Resorts apart. Your presence helps create peace of mind—so guests can focus on enjoying their stay and making unforgettable memories.

The starting rate: $17.75 an hour

The schedule:

  • Grave shift | Full time
  • 9:15pm - 7:15am (10 hour)

The day-to-day:

  • Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including the exterior by operating a bicycle or company vehicle
  • Monitor alarm system and surveillance cameras
  • Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
  • Act as a first responder in emergency situations
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences
  • Act as a dispatcher to relay information, messages and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radios
  • Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures
  • Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory legal, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR/AED training/drill as a condition of employment

The ideal candidate:

  • Obtains a driver's license as required
  • Demonstrates 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Holds a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences
