  • Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Management Coordinator is responsible for planning, training, response, resourceย coordination, and other emergency management activities, both within the hospital and in coordination withย the Regional Healthcare Coalitionย as well as other local state agencies.ย  Serves as theย Regional Readiness and Response Coordinator (RRRC) to support the Regionalย Healthcare Coalition (RHCC).ย 


Qualifications

Job Requirements:ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degreeย in healthcare, emergency management, or related field.ย ย ย ย 
  • 3+ย years of experience in emergency management or related field.ย 
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS):ย Incident Command System (ICS)ย 100, 200, 700, and 800ย certified.ย 
    • Must be completed within 1 year of hire.ย 
  • Certified Emergency & Disaster Professional (CEDP),ย Certified Hospital Emergency Coordinator (CHEC), Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent.ย 
  • Familiarity with CMS emergency management standards.ย 
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.ย 
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.ย 
  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environmentย with minimal supervision.ย 
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.ย 
  • Ability toย lead hospital and coalition groups.ย 

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • National Incident Management System (NIMS): Incident Command System (ICS)ย 300 and 400.ย
