Job description

VCA South Shore Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to complement our talented team in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.

South Shore Weymouth is one of the largest VCA hospitals on the East coast. For more than 30 years, we have been caring for pets in the Norfolk County area. Our 28,000 square foot, state of the art hospital is beautiful and inviting at only 10 years old, with a diverse and stimulating caseload. The strong relationship between our emergency and specialty departments allows us to care for complex surgical and medical cases in a 24-hour setting, providing comprehensive care. VCA South Shore Weymouth also boasts a strong internship program and a talented, caring support staff.

We have a dedicated ultrasound room, private imaging reading room, 64 slice CT scanner, C-arm fluoroscopy, and a new telemetry unit. We also have dedicated technician managers, hands free radiology, I-131, a supportive, progressive management team, and we are AHAA certified, and have integrated fear free methods throughout the practice.

If beaches are more to your taste, Massachusetts, with over 200 miles of coastline, boasts some of the most spectacular beaches in the country. Enjoy the granite boulders on the North Shore or the miles of wide, sandy dunes along Cape Cod.

From November through April, choose from over 90 ski resorts in New England with many of them within just a few hours' drive from Weymouth. Get outside and take pleasure in downhill or cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, hiking, and more. After, relax in a winter cabin in front of a warm fire.

New England is a great place for sports fans, too - Fenway Park is home to the Red Sox (MLB), the TD Garden hosts the Celtics (NBA) and Bruins (NHL) and we are just a 30-minute drive to Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots (NFL). And last but not least, there's a variety of museums to suit just about every interest and age group; including the Boston Children's Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and the USS Constitution Museum, to name a few.
