Job title: Beach Bar Cocktail Server

Reports to: F&B Manager

Pay rate: $17.13 + tips

Position type: Seasonal- June-September

Summary:

A Beach Bar Cocktail Server is a hospitality professional; responsible for providing fast, friendly, and efficient beverage service to guests in high-volume, outdoor, environment. They are responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, making recommendations, up-selling premium products, and processing payments while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years old.
  • Enthusiastic about serving the public with a consistent positive attitude.
  • Adhere to standards of grooming, uniform, and conduct.
  • At least 1 year experience working in a restaurant setting.
  • Active Washington State Food-handlers card and MAST Class 13 Servers Permit.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to become proficient at tray service.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for periods of 5 to 6 hours per shift.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and carry various objects weighing up to 30 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
  • Must be able to go up and down a full flight of stairs with loaded trays repeatedly for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces with multiple team members.
  • Must be able to support the heat of a summer day on the beach in Chelan, this is an outdoor job


Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Greeting and serving guests.
  • Maintains current knowledge of product offered, service techniques and bar terminology.
  • Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures.
  • Maintains par levels of all necessary food related service items.
  • Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of beverages.
  • Provides timely and courteous follow-through on all client, guest and team member requests.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Restock and set up, following job standard procedures.
  • Know food and beverage menu, rotating taps and featured items.
  • Accurately take and deliver guestsโ€™ orders and requests.
  • Learn POS system and use it quickly and efficiently.
  • Smile and be pleasant, courteous and sensitive to guests always.
  • Be knowledgeable about Campbell's services and history and Lake Chelan recreational opportunities to answer guestsโ€™ questions.
  • Be attentive to your customers' needs and do whatever necessary to deliver on those needs.
  • Act as a team member: show enthusiasm and help other staff.
  • At the end of your shift, follow closing procedures taught by trainer

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a seasonal position with room to grow within the company, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation.
