Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst with a background in banking, payments, and merchant services to join our team. This role involves collaborating closely with product owners, technical teams, and stakeholders to capture and translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business and functional documentation, including BRDs (Business Requirements Documents) and FRDs (Functional Requirements Documents), and the ability to work within agile environments, using tools such as Jira.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and business objectives.
  • Develop BRDs and FRDs to capture system requirements and ensure they align with stakeholder needs.
  • Create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria using Cucumber and Gherkin syntax to facilitate behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare high-level designs (HLDs), ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
  • Manage and track requirements and tasks using Jira, facilitating communication and progress within the team.
  • Conduct system and data analysis using SQL for reporting and validation.
  • Act as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring all parties are aligned on business goals and system capabilities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the banking industry, ideally in payments and merchant services.
  • Proficiency in Jira for project tracking and management.
  • Strong background in Cucumber and Gherkin for writing behavior-driven acceptance criteria.
  • Familiarity with SQL for querying databases to support data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and HLDs.
