Job description

Global Dimensions is currently seeking a Senior Joint Target Intelligence Analyst to support a mission-critical program at Fort Meade, Maryland. This senior-level position is ideal for an experienced intelligence professional with extensive expertise in joint targeting, target system analysis, combat assessment, and all-source intelligence supporting Department of Defense and Intelligence Community operations.

The Senior Joint Target Intelligence Analyst provides advanced analytical support for joint targeting operations by developing, analyzing, and prioritizing targets in support of deliberate and dynamic operations. This position applies all-source intelligence analysis to target development, target system analysis, collateral damage estimation, combat assessment, and battle damage assessment while supporting commanders and operational planners in achieving mission objectives.

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience supporting joint targeting processes and demonstrate mastery of intelligence analysis, targeting methodologies, and Intelligence Community tradecraft.

Essential Job Functions:

Develop, analyze, and maintain target systems supporting joint lethal and non-lethal operations.

Conduct Joint Target Intelligence (JTI) activities, including:

  • Target system analysis
  • Joint target development
  • Target nomination
  • Target list management
  • Combat assessment

Develop target nominations and maintain target intelligence records within applicable intelligence databases.

Create, update, validate, and upload Target Materials (TMs) and other targeting products into approved intelligence databases.

Produce all-source analytic damage estimates, Battle Damage Assessments (BDA), and support overall combat assessment activities.

Conduct Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE) in accordance with applicable Department of Defense targeting methodologies.

Develop target engagement strategies supporting deliberate and dynamic operations.

Provide recommendations for target prioritization to support commander objectives and operational planning.

Analyze multiple intelligence sources to identify target vulnerabilities, capabilities, and operational impacts.

Produce high-quality intelligence reports, targeting products, briefings, and executive-level assessments.

Coordinate with operational planners, intelligence analysts, and mission partners to support joint targeting efforts.

Ensure all intelligence products comply with Intelligence Community tradecraft standards and applicable targeting doctrine.

Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on targeting methodologies and intelligence analysis.

Perform additional intelligence analysis and targeting duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

Completion of formal Joint Targeting training.

Minimum 12 years of experience directly supporting joint targeting, intelligence analysis, or a related discipline, with at least a portion of the experience obtained within the last two (2) years.

Education

Candidates must possess one of the following:

Master's degree in Intelligence Studies, National Security, International Relations, Military Science, Political Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or

Bachelor's degree in a related field plus an additional five (5) years of directly related senior experience (17 years total) in lieu of a Master's degree.

Extensive knowledge of the Joint Targeting Cycle, Joint Publication (JP) 3-60, and Department of Defense targeting doctrine.

Advanced understanding of Joint Target Intelligence (JTI), target system analysis, target development, collateral damage estimation, combat assessment, and battle damage assessment.

Demonstrated mastery of qualitative and quantitative intelligence analysis methodologies.

Ability to develop innovative research approaches that support complex operational and strategic intelligence requirements.

Expertise analyzing complex intelligence operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and Intelligence Community boundaries.

Ability to independently produce high-quality intelligence assessments with minimal supervision.

Experience reviewing intelligence products to ensure analytical rigor, sound reasoning, compliance with tradecraft standards, and well-supported conclusions.

Strong critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior military and government leadership.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment while meeting strict deadlines.

Desired Skills:

Candidates with one or more of the following are highly desired:

Experience supporting the National Security Agency (NSA), U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Joint Staff, or Combatant Commands.

Joint Targeting School certification or additional advanced targeting coursework.

Experience using modern targeting and intelligence databases and mission planning systems.

Experience supporting dynamic targeting, time-sensitive targeting, and combat assessment operations.

Familiarity with geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and all-source intelligence integration.

Experience leading intelligence teams or serving as a technical lead on complex targeting efforts.

Military targeting or operational planning experience within a Joint or Combined environment.
