Description The Construction Proposal Manager / BD & Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the company's pursuit and marketing efforts, ensuring the successful positioning of the organization in competitive procurement environments while strengthening brand awareness and client relationships. Key responsibilities include: Managing the end-to-end proposal process, including RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, presentations, and interview materials. Developing pursuit strategies that align with business growth objectives and target markets. Coordinating proposal schedules, compliance requirements, content development, reviews, and final submissions. Writing, editing, and producing compelling proposal content, project profiles, resumes, and marketing collateral. Collaborating closely with executive leadership, operations teams, and subject matter experts to develop winning strategies. Maintaining and enhancing proposal libraries, client databases, CRM systems, and marketing resources. Supporting business development efforts through market research, opportunity tracking, competitor analysis, and client outreach initiatives. Assisting with client relationship management, networking events, industry conferences, and strategic partnership development. Overseeing marketing initiatives including brand management, website content, social media presence, newsletters, and public relations activities. Managing project award announcements, case studies, award submissions, and corporate communications. Tracking proposal and pursuit metrics to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Supporting interview preparation, presentation development, and coaching for pursuit teams. Ensuring consistent brand standards and messaging across all marketing and business development materials. Identifying new opportunities to strengthen market presence and support long-term growth objectives. Profile The ideal candidate is a highly organized, strategic, and results-driven professional with experience supporting business development, proposal management, and marketing initiatives within the construction, engineering, architecture, or related professional services industries. Key qualifications include: Proven experience managing complex proposals and pursuits in a deadline-driven environment. Strong understanding of construction industry procurement processes, including public and private sector opportunities. Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities simultaneously. Experience developing pursuit strategies that contribute to successful project wins. Strong business development mindset with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Familiarity with CRM platforms, proposal management tools, and marketing technologies.
