Job Summary
Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying computerized ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates the CT equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Is current in Radiologic (X-ray) positioning and can perform X-rays in ER and department when asked. Participates in the establishment of scan protocols and in execution of specific applications, and responsible for contrast administration. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Position requires Call.
Qualifications

  • One year of CT experience preferred. Candidates DO NOT need to have acute care experience.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) required; (CT) preferred
  • State Registered Radiologic Technologist
  • Vocational School Graduate
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
