Employment Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Mixed 10-hour shifts (7a5:30p, 8a6:30p, 9a7:30p, 10a8:30p) | Pay: $27.72 to $39.60/hr depending on experience + $2.50 shift differential after 3pm | Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 | On-Call Pay: $4/hr | Relocation: Case by case

Overview

We are seeking an experienced PACU RN to provide high-quality post-operative care to surgical patients. This role focuses on monitoring neurological and cardiac status, managing airway support, and ensuring patient stability during recovery. Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based post-operative care for surgical patients.
  • Assess patient condition and monitor vital signs throughout shifts.
  • Respond promptly to complications or adverse events.
  • Provide initial wound care and support patient recovery.
  • Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
  • Document patient condition and interventions thoroughly.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous patient care coverage.
Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1 year recent PACU RN acute care experience (Critical Care experience preferred).
  • Florida RN license or compact multistate RN license (Florida license must be obtained within 60 days if relocating).
  • RN Diploma or Associate Degree.
  • BCLS certification or BCLS Instructor within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification or ACLS Instructor within 60 days of hire.
  • PALS certification or PALS Instructor within 60 days of hire.

Preferred

  • Strong critical thinking, technical, and leadership skills in post-operative care.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly rates: $27.72-$33.00 (5 years experience), $36.30 (10 years), $39.60 (15+ years)
  • Shift differential: $2.50/hr after 3pm
  • On-call pay: $4/hr
  • $15,000 sign-on bonus; relocation assistance case by case
