Working as a remote BCBA in a school environment presents unique challenges, such as building rapport with students and staff virtually, managing effective communication, and ensuring the fidelity of behavioral interventions from a distance. To address these challenges, it’s important to establish clear routines for virtual check-ins, utilize secure video conferencing tools for observations and meetings, and provide thorough training and support for on-site staff implementing behavior plans. These skills and qualifications ensure high-quality behavioral interventions and support for students, even in a remote learning context.
