Job description

Position Summary: The Associate will gain professional experience and assist with multiple database projects. Primary responsibilities will include management of helpdesk tickets for Data Management team and documentation of data sources and reports. The associate will also assist members of the Data Management team as needed on projects regarding database administration, data warehousing, reporting, data analytics and data science.
THIS POSITION WILL BE PART TIME AND YEAR-ROUND - Candidate must have the ability to work approximately 15- 20 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with helpdesk tickets by assigning to appropriate resource and communicating with both customer and Data Management staff.
  • Assist in maintaining and building new reports.
  • Assist in the maintenance of complex data storage structures needed to support data reporting. Assures data is maintained in consistent formats.
  • Troubleshoot data source issues including hardware and software.
  • Participate as a team member on data reporting projects. Assists higher level Analysts in project management affecting reporting. Assists other technical staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Currently pursuing BS or BBA Information Systems, BS in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Management, or a related field. Prefer students that have completed their Sophomore year.
Preferred technical skills/knowledge: Problem solving/Analysis, ETL (extract, transform, load) processes, Data Warehousing, querying concepts, SQL, SSRS, Power BI, Spotfire.
