Job Description
Summary:
Roadside Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance services in the shop or providing basic automotive assistance to customers in the field. This role supports vehicle safety and reliability through quick service maintenance, inspections, and on-site roadside support as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs
  • Conduct tire inspections, air pressure checks, and minor tire repairs or changes
  • Respond to roadside service calls and provide on-site assistance such as jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, and battery testing
  • Complete basic vehicle inspections and identify potential mechanical or safety concerns
  • Communicate findings clearly to Service Advisors or Managers for further repair recommendations
  • Safely operate shop equipment, lifts, and roadside service vehicles
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in both shop and field environments
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and service vehicles are in proper working condition
  • Follow all company, manufacturer, and safety procedures at all times
  • Accurately document services performed and maintain service records

Qualifications
  • Prior experience in automotive maintenance or roadside assistance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a problem-solving mindset
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in outdoor conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR screening

Additional Information
Compensation (Hourly: Flat-Rate):
  • $20.00 - $50.00 + / hour
    • Based on experience, certifications, and skill level
  • Tenure Bonus Program*:
    • Starting at 6 months, earn up to $3.50/hour on every flat-rate hour turned
    • Bonus increases with tenure and is paid annually
