Who we are looking for

The Director of Business Development & Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans which drive revenue growth and increase market share. This role requires a passionate leader with a focus on sales pipeline development, preferably with experience in the manufacturing or energy storage sectors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the battery landscape, a cooperative work style, and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships.

  • Develop and implement a robust sales pipeline, expand the portfolio of customers, and increase near-term revenue for Re:Build Battery Solutions. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing, product, and engineering teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth, enhance brand visibility, create compelling product marketing materials, and enhance our competitive position. 
  • Identify and engage in new strategic business opportunities that expand market share and build relationships for future sales. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. 
  • Perform comprehensive market research to identify trends, forecast demand, and analyze key players in the battery industry, thereby informing and driving strategic initiatives. 
  • Compile and present  comprehensive sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management. 
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.

 

What you bring to the Team
  • BS in Engineering or related technical field, MS preferred.
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of commercial experience, including at least 5 years in a customer-facing business development role, ideally within the energy storage sector. 
  • Deep expertise in the battery manufacturing industry and a keen insight into market dynamics. 
  • Demonstrated success in consistently surpassing sales targets and driving substantial revenue growth. 
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, coupled with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proven ability to think strategically while executing plans with precision and tactical expertise. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools to track and analyze key performance metrics to inform business development strategies and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

The base salary range for this position is $154,587 - $231,880 per year. This range represents the Company's good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
