Batch scripting refers to writing scripts for automating tasks in the Windows operating system using a series of commands stored in a text file with a '.bat' or '.cmd' extension. These scripts can perform repetitive tasks, manage files, run programs, and execute system commands, helping to save time and minimize manual errors. Batch scripts are widely used by system administrators and IT professionals for automating system maintenance, software installations, backups, and more.

Additionally, scripts may need to be adapted for scalability and integration with newer automation tools. Collaborating with IT teams and other departments is essential, as batch scripts often play a critical role in system administration, deployment, and data processing workflows.
