Based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, AES has completed projects across North America. Advanced Electric Systems is seeking skilled relay, apparatus, and transformer substation testing technicians ready to take their expertise on the road. The ideal candidate would be willing to relocate to Utah.

What You'll Do
  • Test, inspect, and troubleshoot transformers, electrical systems and equipment.

  • Operate electrical test equipment (Doble, Manta, Vanguard, Omicron).

  • Work with relays (SEL, Multilin, Basler) and related software (DTA, Protection Suite, Enoserve/RTS, PTM, Accelerator).

  • Perform testing and commissioning on transformers, circuit breakers, relays, meters, and other electrical apparatus.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

  • Document test results using Word and Excel.

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical circuits.

  • Maintain strong client relationships.

  • Follow safe work practices and work independently or as part of a team.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL (preferred) with a clean driving record and medical card.
  • At least 5 years of high-voltage testing, either relay or apparatus
  • High level of proficiency with test sets such as Doble, Manta, Vanguard, Omicron
  • Must be willing to travel interstate, on a weekly/bi-weekly basis
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
