Job Description

Department: Basketball Operations

Reports to: Specialist, Basketball Operations

Position Summary: Responsible for contributing to various elements of day-to-day operational assist for the team specifically related to supporting equipment needs and ensuring a safe surface of play. This position will also be tasked with completing impromptu requests as needed by the operations staff throughout the season. This role is a part-time position over the course of the G League season, which will occur from November through April with opportunity for summer hours based on performance.

Responsibilities:

- While stationed courtside during contest, team attendants must remain alert and aware at all times prepared to quickly wipe any wet spots that occur on the court.

- Assist players from both teams with regards to pre-game and halftime warmups as needed, including, but not limited to, rebounding and passing.

- On gamedays, ensuring that both the home and visiting team benches, team locker rooms and officials' locker room, are fully stocked, prepared and tidy.

- Prepare all locker rooms in advance for halftime and post-game needs.

- Greet the visiting team's bus upon arrival to assist with unloading and reloading as needed, in addition to helping with any needs of the visiting team administration (Equipment Manager / Ops Manager).

- Ensure that all players receive towels, water, and/or any other specifically requested items upon returning to the bench as a result of substitutions or timeouts.

- Participate in the setup (pre-game) and breakdown(post-game) of team benches including the return of all game equipment (Gatorade carts, towels, slip matts, etc.) to its proper storage area.

- As needed, assist with the following tasks post-game: laundry services, restock of product in fridge, on-court player request.

- Work closely with Basketball Operations Staff, as well as fellow team attendants, to effectively complete all responsibilities in a timely manner.

- Will contribute to the operation of other 905 internal departments as needed which include but are not limited to: Community Relations, PR/Communications, Team Operations, Team Engagement based on schedule availability.

- Will also assist with community relations and outreach activities as well as work summer camps and clinics as needed.

- Other duties as assigned by Raptors 905 staff

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Ability to work all Raptors 905 home dates which include work in the evenings and on weekends as needed

- Previous experience in basketball as a player, coach, team manager or intern is preferred

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with our athletes, coaches, staff and fans

- Highly Organized self-starter, with the ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to maintain a constant level of confidentiality and discretion

- Service Driven team first mentality

- Attention to detail

- Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.

- Ability to be flexible in the face of change and can navigate stressful situations without losing composure
