Here are Cooperstown All Star Village, we combine innovative menus, energetic service, and modern operational tools such as MarginEdge, Square POS, and 7Shifts to drive revenue, maximize efficiency, and elevate guest engagement.
Position Summary
Cooperstown All Star Village is seeking an upbeat, welcoming Hosts to manage guest flow and create a positive first impression for families and teams dining at All Star Village. The Host is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and organized dining experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests upon arrival, managing the waitlist, seating guests efficiently, and communicating table availability with the serving team to ensure smooth and timely service.
The Host maintains the flow of the dining room by coordinating seating arrangements, assisting with guest inquiries, and providing accurate information about the menu, dining policies, and wait times. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized entrance area, supporting guest satisfaction, and assisting the frontofhouse team as needed during busy periods.
Ideal candidates are friendly, professional, and able to multitask in a fastpaced environment. The Host contributes significantly to the overall guest experience by setting a positive tone from the moment guests arrive.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly, efficient manner.
  • Manage waitlists and organize table turnover.
  • Communicate effectively with servers and management.
  • Maintain cleanliness of host stand and entry areas.
  • Provide support to the service team as needed.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in hospitality, resorts, sports facilities, or seasonal/event-based settings.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; proficiency with inventory tracking, POS reporting, and administrative tools.
  • Adaptable, growth-oriented, solution-focused mindset; passionate about guest experience, operational excellence, and team development.

Preferred Requirements
  • Food safety, ServSafe, or relevant hospitality certifications a plus.
  • Full-time availability with flexibility for peak periods, opening days, and event

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work long shifts in high-volume settings and meet physical demands (standing 8+ hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, repetitive tasks).
  • Lift up to 50 lbs (cases, equipment).
  • Work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and peak tournament periods.
  • Routinely exposed to varying weather, dust/particles, and high-volume kitchen conditions.
