Hosts serve as representatives for Volo and its subsidiaries at facilities and bars and are the main point of contact for our players in leagues. Qualifications
  • Certified Soccer official - Colorado Soccer Association or US Soccer
  • Capable of officiating 7v7 or 11v11 soccer
  • One (1) year of previous referee, playing, or coaching experience is preferred.
  • Understands how the game is played including the principles, practice, and techniques used in recreational sporting events.
  • Ability to handle participants, team managers and/or coaches under difficult game situations.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly
  • Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Proficient customer service skills
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with fellow employees, various community organizations, and the public.
  • High School Diploma /GED Equivalency

Referee responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players
  • Understand and kindly and fairly enforce each sport's rules
  • Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.

League Host and Referee responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Serve as a Volo representative at facilities and fields
  • Set up & take down fields and /or soccer goals
  • Update league scores in our host app
  • Promote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-field selling and help distribute marketing materials
  • Encourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the league
  • Must be available at least 1 day per week from 5:30pm-10:30pm for at least eight weeks
  • Other league-day preparations, such as field setup and supervision.
  • Use host app to check in players as needed
  • Execute fundraising activities to support kids programs
  • Make players meet & feel welcome
