A baseball groundskeeper oversees the care for the different surfaces on a baseball field. In this role, your job duties include inspecting the condition of the grass and sand and determining areas that may need to be repaired. You also perform routine maintenance; you reseed and fertilize the grass areas before or after the season, and ensure the grass is watered and mowed during baseball season. Other responsibilities include grooming the sand on the infield by flattening and making the surfaces even before and during games. A baseball groundskeeper can work at a baseball stadium, or they can care for community recreational fields.
