The 'flexible' aspect of the role means that the groundskeeper may work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and during special events as needed. Typical tasks include mowing the grass, watering, raking the infield, lining the field, repairing the pitcher's mound, and setting up or breaking down equipment. Groundskeepers also monitor weather conditions and make preparations to protect the field from adverse weather.
