  • Pay Range: $12-16/hr.

Position Summary: As a member of The Ripken Experience Retail team you will be required to assist with the operation of our on-site merchandise store. The Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge is a state-of-the-art sports complex located in Pigeon Forge, TN. Ripken Baseball specializes in youth baseball tournaments bringing teammates, coaches, and families together through our Big League Experiences. This is a seasonal role. Key Responsibilities: As a member of the seasonal retail team, you will work directly under the Retail Coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Efficiently process sales transactions using a POS system.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, assisting customers both on and off the sales floor.
  • Monitor stock levels and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment within the retail shop.
  • Assist our Food and Beverage Manager, Facilities Manager, and Operations Staff as needed.
  • Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for tournament participants.
  • Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-3 years working experience required
  • Outgoing and friendly personality, strong initiative, and high-energy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong detail-orientation, with ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to multi-task, efficient time-management skills
  • Ability to work during the day or evening as determined by supervisor
  • Positive and effective leadership and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Reliable transportation
Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:
  • Routinely required to work extended hours of time including weekdays/nights, and weekends
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions, dust and particles, and loud noises
