Job description

Restaurant General Manager | Richmond, VA

Established QSR | Prime Location | $75,000 โ€“ $85,000 Base + Full Benefits

This is not a turnaround situation. This is a well-run, established QSR operation in a prime Petersburgย location โ€” and they need a General Manager who can take something already working and make it sharper.

The incoming GM will oversee a $2 million operation with approximately 25 employees, including subordinate managers and supervisors. You will report directly to the Director of Operations and carry full accountability for financial performance, team leadership, and franchise standards. The organization behind this role has a multi-branded portfolio with a strong operational footprint across Northern Virginia and the DC area โ€” and advancement based on performance is a realistic path, not a talking point.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all daily restaurant operations, maintaining brand standards, guest experience, and financial performance across every shift
  • Manage the full P&L, including food cost, labor cost, and operational expenses against a $2 million annual revenue target
  • Directly oversee subordinate managers and supervisors, setting clear expectations and developing their leadership capabilities
  • Ensure strict adherence to franchise standards, operational procedures, and quality and safety compliance requirements
  • Build and maintain a team of approximately 25 employees through structured hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
  • Partner with the Director of Operations to execute company initiatives, report on location performance, and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, and vendor coordination to support efficient, cost-effective daily operations

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of General Manager experience in a QSR, fast casual, or high-volume restaurant environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a full P&L and hit operational and financial benchmarks consistently
  • Hands-on leadership style โ€” you lead from the floor, not from the office
  • Experience managing a team that includes supervisors and shift managers, not just crew
  • Strong working knowledge of franchise standards, compliance requirements, and operational reporting
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills with the ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive culture
  • Track record of team stability, low turnover, and internal development

Nice to Have

  • Multi-unit awareness or experience supporting operations beyond a single location
  • Background with a recognized franchise brand and familiarity with its reporting and accountability systems
  • Experience working within a multi-branded restaurant group or corporate franchise portfolio

How You'll Succeed Here

In the first 60 to 90 days, a strong candidate will have a clear command of the operation's financial benchmarks, established credibility with the existing management team, and a visible presence on the floor during peak service. Success in this role is measured by consistent financial performance, team retention, franchise compliance, and guest satisfaction โ€” in that order.

The company promotes based on results. If you perform, the path forward is real.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $75,000 โ€“ $85,000 annually, based on experience
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Paid time off
  • Direct access to senior leadership and real advancement opportunity within a growing multi-branded organization

Location

Richmond, Virginia | On-Site | Full-Time
