Job description

Job Title

Provides proper handling of all physical records received and maintained in the record center. Ensures security, tracking, scanning, retrieval, archiving, and disposition of records is in accordance with Records Management policies and procedures. Assists department manager with maintenance of electronic records housed in the records/document management application, ensuring records integrity, timely retrieval and proper use in support of business needs.

Essential Functions

Reviews physical and electronic records processed by the records department, ensuring quality and turnaround time requirements are met in accordance with key performance metrics and service level agreements.

Performs reviews of records submitted to the records/document management application by business submitters, ensuring accuracy of records classification and metadata entered.

Prepares reports for electronic records with inaccurate metadata, for review and correction by business submitters.

Works with manager to provide training and feedback to business areas submitting records to the records/document management application to improve information capture and records integrity.

Processes metadata correction requests for electronic records submitted to the records/document management application.

Updates record status changes in the records/document management application for mergers, consolidations, record event dates, superseded records, etc.

Applies records restrictions to physical records and ensures restricted access adherence for records classified as having an employee restriction.

Education

High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience

3 years of experience, preferably in records management or the financial services industry. required

The typical base pay range for this role is between $50,750 - $58,100. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
