Job description

Position Summary:
The Engineer supports the design, development, and implementation of building automation, mechanical, and electrical control systems. This position assists with technical drawing development, system programming, documentation, and coordination with project teams. The Engineer plays a key role in ensuring that engineering tasks are executed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with NRG Controls' quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and building automation control systems.
  • Prepare control diagrams, wiring drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Support programming, configuration, and testing of BAS and control systems.
  • Perform system calculations, equipment selections, and engineering analyses as assigned.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and other engineers to support project execution.
  • Review submittals, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues during installation and commissioning.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide engineering input as needed.
  • Maintain organized documentation, drawings, and engineering files.
  • Ensure work complies with industry standards, codes, and company processes.
  • Support continuous improvement of engineering methods and processes.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical theory, or building automation concepts.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
