Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and Orton-Gillingham Certified Tutor to provide specialized literacy instruction to students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. The ideal candidate will have expertise in structured literacy interventions and a strong understanding of multisensory teaching methods.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized, structured literacy instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach.

Adapt and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's needs, learning pace, and abilities.

Utilize multisensory strategies to enhance phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, and comprehension.

Track and document student progress through session notes and progress reports.

Communicate effectively with parents, school representatives, and Einstein Tutoring's management team.

Maintain professionalism in all interactions and adhere to Einstein Tutoring's policies and procedures.

Follow each student's IEP (if applicable) and collaborate with school staff when necessary.

Ensure timely attendance and proper documentation of all tutoring sessions.

Qualifications:

Must be Orton-Gillingham Certified (Associate Level or Higher).

Must be located in Massachusetts.

Must be available during school hours (Monday-Friday).

Experience working with students with dyslexia, reading difficulties, and special education needs is required.

Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred.

Strong understanding of phonics-based and structured literacy interventions.

Ability to create engaging, multisensory lesson plans tailored to individual students.

Must be reliable, organized, and able to work independently.

Must have access to a computer with a stable internet connection for virtual sessions (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in school districts or special education settings.
