Job Description: Bartender
Company Overview77° Rooftop is Rock Rose's newest addition. Our 3-story rooftop patio bar takes drinking in Austin to a perfect 77°, the optimal cocktailing temperature. We've got a palette-pleasing assortment of finger foods, and some mind-altering hookah flavors as well.
Job Summary
We are looking for a professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve cocktails and exciting beverages to our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages in a timely, polite fashion. You will also upsell items, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties for opening and closing.
The bartending team is responsible for working with the utility team to ensure the bar is set up correctly including, putting out liquor bottles and back stock.
Bartenders also must ensure the team has all necessities including pens, check presenters, straws, napkins, and everything else to set up the bar for success.
To succeed as a bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
  • Memorize specialty cocktail ingredients and shot recipes

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years experience (preferred not required)
  • Previous knowledge of food service regulations preferred
  • ServeSafe or Food Handler's Certification, or willing to obtain
  • TABC Certification or willing to obtain
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills
  • Works well with others
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
