POSTION: Warehouse Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Branch Manager

LOCATION: Fresno, CA

SALARY: $18.00 - $23.00/per hour, DOE

Established in 1913, Electric Motor Shop is a premier electrical contractor, motor repair shop and electrical supply wholesale distributor. The Electric Motor Shop's state of the art repair facility offers all levels of motor and pump repair, service and rewinding, with 24-hour service availability. Our supply division has one of the largest stocking warehouses in Central California. We also have a fully licensed professional contracting division capable of providing services for small to large industrial projects, including custom panel design and installation, PLC programming, AC drives, and transformer installations.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and an organized, safe warehouse environment. This role supports efficient order fulfillment, proper stock management, and timely shipping/receiving while contributing to excellent customer service and teamwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the transition to a wireless, mobile-enabled warehouse management solution, including the use of RF/barcode scanners and mobile devices.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization; ensure proper stock rotation, labeling, and location accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and verify incoming/outgoing shipments; record shortages or damages, and route items as needed.
  • Receive, unpack, and prepare shipments; maintain inventory of shipping supplies.
  • Operate forklift/hand-truck to move and store items and assist with deliveries to customers when required.
  • Support Point of Sale area by restocking and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Use computer systems to enter/correct data, answer phones, and provide customer support.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
  • Foster teamwork, communicate effectively with supervisor and peers, and maintain professional appearance and conduct.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
  • 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred; familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF/barcode scanning, or mobile scanning technologies is a plus.
  • California Driver's License with clean driving record.
  • Willing to participate in drug/alcohol/background screening.
  • Must be responsible, reliable, honest, and independent.
  • Must be able to safely bend, stoop, lift and move objects, max of 50 pounds. Physically capable of opening boxes, crates and other large containers using hand tools to unpack items received.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs: Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Initiative, the ability to work independently, flexibility, enthusiasm, resilience, self-confidence, and self-motivation

PHYSICAL DEMAND & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position requires the ability to safely bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees must be physically capable of opening boxes, crates, and other large containers using hand tools, and may be required to stand or walk for extended periods. Tasks may involve repetitive motion and occasional exposure to warehouse, industrial plant or outdoor environments.
