The Warehouse IT Support Specialist provides frontline technology support for Tilebar warehouse and distribution operations. This role helps keep warehouse associates, supervisors, fulfillment teams, and operations leadership productive by supporting the systems, devices, and equipment used to receive, pick, pack, ship, stage, and manage Tilebar product flow. 

The ideal candidate is hands-on, service-oriented, and comfortable supporting technology in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position requires strong troubleshooting instincts, clear communication, and a sense of urgency when resolving issues that could impact order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, shipping, customer experience, or operational productivity. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. 

  • Provide Level 1 technical support for Tilebar warehouse users, supervisors, and operations teams through tickets, walk-up requests, and urgent floor support needs. 
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral issues across warehouse workstations, laptops, tablets, RF devices, scanners, printers, and mobile equipment. 
  • Support warehouse technology including barcode scanners, handheld terminals, label printers, document printers, packing station equipment, time clocks, kiosks, and shared workstations. 
  • Assist users with password resets, account access, application access requests, basic permissions issues, and onboarding/offboarding support in coordination with corporate IT processes. 
  • Respond quickly to operationally critical issues that may affect receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, returns, or other warehouse workflows. 
  • Document issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, equipment details, and escalations clearly in the IT ticketing system. 
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 2 support, infrastructure, networking, systems, application, or vendor teams as appropriate. 
  • Assist with deployment, replacement, setup, imaging, configuration, and maintenance of warehouse IT equipment. 
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, including validating device connectivity, cabling, Wi-Fi coverage, access point connectivity, switch ports, and IP configuration. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory of warehouse IT assets, spare equipment, accessories, chargers, cables, and replacement devices. 
  • Follow Tilebar IT security standards, support procedures, access control practices, change management expectations, and documentation requirements. 

Qualifications 

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. 

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, warehouse technology support, or a related technical support role. 
  • Basic working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, scanners, mobile devices, peripherals, and common business applications. 
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, Wi-Fi, wired network, printing, and device connectivity issues. 
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to support users with varying levels of technical experience. 
  • Ability to prioritize issues based on business impact, urgency, and warehouse operational needs. 
  • Comfortable working directly on the warehouse floor and moving between office areas, shipping stations, receiving areas, packing stations, and operational zones. 
  • Ability to lift, move, connect, and set up IT equipment as needed. 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to document work accurately and follow standard operating procedures. 
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while knowing when to escalate. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Associate degree, technical school training, relevant IT coursework, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, retail operations, or e-commerce fulfillment environments. 
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems, shipping systems, barcode scanning, Zebra or similar printers, RF devices, mobile terminals, and label printing workflows. 
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, switches, access points, patch cables, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting. 
  • Experience with a ticketing platform such as Halo or ServiceNow. 

Physical Requirements

  • This role is primarily based in a warehouse or distribution center environment and may require frequent movement throughout operational areas. 
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse during the workday. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry typical IT equipment such as monitors, desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, docking stations, and peripherals. 
  • Must be comfortable working around warehouse equipment, forklifts, pallet racking, conveyors, packing stations, shipping areas, and receiving areas while following all safety procedures. 
  • May require occasional work outside standard business hours to support maintenance windows, operational issues, system upgrades, physical moves, or project work.
