Job description

As a barback you directly support the bartender in maintaining bar cleanliness, maintenance, enhancing guest experience, and keeping the bar well supplied with a wide variety of materials which make a high volume bar function smoothly. A sample of daily duties:

  • Re-stocking glassware, ice and other products
  • Frequent trash removal and disposal
  • Removing finished or unattended cocktails, beer glasses/bottles from the bar top
  • Removing spills and food particles from the bar top, or bar designated tables
  • Removal of bus tubs and replacement of bus tubs
  • Preparation of bar garnishments such produce, herbs,
  • Proper preparation of syrups, spirit infusions, batched cocktails
  • Polishing glassware
  • Accurate record keeping regarding any type of waste or breakage
  • Safe and secure storage of all bar items or products
