Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to all guests, including taking orders, suggestive selling, serving beverages, and clearing used glassware and garbage. This position is instrumental in creating an environment and executing service that blows our guests away. The Beverage Servers II must continually seek opportunities to create memories by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and building relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

  • Primarily services all guests in HL Slots and HL Table Games.

  • Takes customer drink orders, serves drinks and collects payment in a courteous and efficient manner.

  • Takes customer tobacco orders and collects payment in a courteous and efficient manner.

  • Works primarily out of the Casino Service Bar service wells and fulfills orders from those locations when possible before utilizing a feature/walk-up bar.

  • Work with Council Oak Bar, Plum Lounge Bar, and Hard Rock Cafe Bar as appropriate to accurately fill guest requests for specialized alcoholic beverages.

  • Communicate with Outlet Server II and Council Oak/Plum Lounge leadership when appropriate to accommodate guest requests or answer questions.

  • Support the main casino floor Beverage Servers as needed, which may include working a main floor section or assisting in general order fulfillment.

  • Adheres to food and beverage policies and State Liquor Laws.

  • Completes all required set-up and closing duties on time.

  • Keeps station and service bars clean at all times.

  • Removes all used and dirty glassware and garbage in work area, maintaining cleanliness in HL Slots and HL Table Games.

  • Promotes positive customer relations.

  • Maintains a polished and professional demeanor with guests at all times, providing elevated Beverage service.

  • Responsible for the receipt of monies and settlement of guests checks.

  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Supervisor.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.

  • Must successfully pass background check.

  • Must successfully pass drug screening.

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

  • Must have valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and IGC Badge.

  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing.

  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Sell cigars and provides cigar service.

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a high-volume environment.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Knowledge of Player's Club marketing and promotion details.

  • Fluency in English: additional languages preferred.

ABILITY TO:

  • Ability to move throughout the business (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.

  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.

  • Ability to obtain impressions through the eyes.

  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
