The Bar Manager will oversee all aspects of bar operations, ensuring that every guest enjoysย aย outstandingย experience. The Bar Manager willย be responsible forย managing the bar team,ย maintainingย high standardsย of beverage quality and service, driving profitability, and fosteringย a strong teamย culture. Key Responsibilities:ย 

Operational Management:ย 

  • Overseeย daily bar operations, including all front-of-house activities and overall guest experience.ย 

  • Ensure the bar meets and exceeds quality, service, beverage, and cleanliness standards.ย 

  • Manage beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control to meet budgetary goals.ย 

  • Responsible for payroll, includingย accurateย timekeeping review, labor management, and scheduling based on business needs.ย 

  • Create,ย maintain, and manage team schedules to ensure proper staffing levels, operational coverage, and alignment with business demands.ย 

  • Partner with leadership toย identifyย operational opportunities and implement processes that improve efficiency and service.ย 

Staff Leadership:ย 

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, including bartenders, servers, runners, hosts, and all FOH positions.ย 

  • Coordinate onboarding plans for new hires, ensuring team members complete all required onboarding steps prior toย starting inย their role.ย 

  • Own the new hire trainingย experience,ย ย byย ensuring team members receive proper department training, resources, and ongoing support needed to be successful.ย 

  • Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to build a knowledgeable and engaged team.ย 

  • Create andย maintainย a positive work environment that encourages team cohesion, accountability, and professional growth.ย 

  • Implement performance evaluations and address any staff concerns promptly and effectively.ย 

  • Monitor adherence to SOPs, service standards, and training guidelines.ย 

Customer Service:ย 

  • Ensure high standards of customer service, addressing guest concerns and feedback with professionalism.ย 

  • Lead by example by creating memorable guest experiences and fostering a culture of hospitality within the team.ย 

  • Implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat business.ย 

Financial Management:ย 

  • Work with the Director of F&B to manage theย barโ€™sย budget, including forecasting and controlling expenses.ย 

  • Work with the Director of F&B toย monitorย financial performance, including sales, labor costs, beverage costs, and profitability.ย 

  • Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.ย 

Marketing and Promotion:ย 

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities, programming, and events.ย 

  • Build andย maintainย relationships with local businesses and community organizations to promote the bar and restaurant.ย
