Job Description:

Full-Time, 3rd Shift

Security I Corbin, KY

Security is responsible for providing the physical protection of Baptist Health assets, including people, property, reputation, and information.

Supervises other Security Officers and monitors work related functions during assigned shift. Enforces hospital regulations, provides a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors and employees. The Security Officer Leac will enforce hospital policies and security regulations through active monitoring and patrolling of Baptist property by continuously watching and reporting of potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences. As determined by supervisory personnel, the Security officer investigates complaints or potential criminal

conduct; assists in restraining patients as necessary; provides protective services.

Description:

  • Leads and supervises security staff during assigned shift.

  • Responds to security, safety, and behavioral incidents.

  • Conducts patrols and corrects security or safety concerns.

  • Assists patients, visitors, employees, and care teams during emergencies.

  • Investigates incidents and completes required reports.

  • Monitors CCTV and other security systems.

  • Ensures compliance with hospital security, safety, and emergency procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • BLS (AHA), Aegis, and Taser 7 certification required within 90 days of hire.

  • Basic & Advanced IAHSS certification required within 6 months.

  • Preferred: Security education and prior security, military, and/or law enforcement experience.
