Job description

Location:Kohler, WI

Opportunity

 Properly clean and set meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resume and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) or as instructed for all banquet functions in Kohler hospitality and outlining Kohler related facilities.

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Review and ensure understanding of all BEO's for required set up, tear down, arrangements, etc.  
  • Coordinate the efficient and correct set up of tables, chairs, platforms/stages, and other equipment as specified by BEO requirements. 
  • Provide guidance and direction for large, complex and/or offsite events. 
  • Guide new associates on processes and procedures.  
  • Adherence to all applicable brand standards. 
  • Check and adjust lighting as needed. 
  • Check electrical connections for proper working order and tape down exposed cords. 
  • Pick up and deliver boxes/materials for events as needed. 
  • Service and freshen function rooms during breaks. 
  • Break down of tables, chairs, platforms/stages and return in good /clean condition to storage areas. 
  • Keep function and equipment storage clean and in good condition. 
  • Assist servers and captains with setting and clearing of banquet tables, stocking service stations, and assist with buffet /coffee break/table service. 
  • Safely deliver carts of soiled dishes/glassware/flatware to kitchen for washing. 
  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all events including silver, linen and condiments. 
  • Keep service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed. 
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as moving furniture in and about the venue location. 
  • Service every meeting room by emptying trash, removing dirty plates, cups, linens and glasses, and replace as necessary.  Straighten all chairs. Replenish water requirements as specified or requested. 
  • Drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver. Set up banquet functions according to the instructions on the BEOs and the client's needs. 
  • Ensure warehouse orders for delivery and pick up are completed throughout the resort 
  • Assist with offsite equipment set up with all applicable duties similar to TAC banquets  
  • Assist kitchen and banquet wait-staff in serving banquets and stewarding as needed and/or assigned. 
  • Performs light maintenance tasks as needed. 
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices. 
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards. 
  • Adhere to Kohler Attendance Policy 
  • Speak with guests/group coordinators/contacts to locate and deliver convention material to designated location. Perform other duties as requested by group 
  • Collaborate with AV team to execute and clean up functions. 
  • Collaborate with the receiving team to get items to and from events. 
  • Collaborate with chefs to get food items to and from off-site events. 
  • Collaborate with the special events team to execute on-site and off-site events. 
  • Collaborate with warehouse management to execute and deliver furniture, chairs and decor to correct location of event. 

This is a casual part-time position working weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary from 5:00 am to 12:00 am.
