Job description

Job Title: Commercial Landscape Account Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Metro Area) Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Mid-Senior (3+ Years)

About Us Complete Landscape Resources, LLC is a premier commercial landscape management firm serving the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Specializing exclusively in commercial, retail, and industrial properties, we understand that a well-maintained landscape is a critical business asset for our clients. We combine deep horticultural knowledge of the Arizona desert with a proactive, client-first approach. Our reputation is built on reliability, rapid communication, and the ability to execute complex landscape management plans—from water conservation strategies to large-scale enhancements—with precision and professionalism.

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Account Manager with a minimum of 3 years of experience to manage a portfolio of commercial landscape properties. In this role, you will act as the strategic partner for Property Managers and Asset Managers, ensuring their commercial investments are safe, visually appealing, and within budget.

This position requires a blend of horticultural expertise, sales acumen, and administrative precision. You will be responsible for everything from high-level relationship building at industry networking events to technical site auditing and data management in ASPIRE.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Retention

  • Strategic Partnership: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with Property Managers through regular engagement, including business lunches and client appreciation gifts.
  • Industry Representation: Actively represent the company at industry award ceremonies, banquets, and social networking luncheons to build brand presence and network with commercial decision-makers.
  • Proactive Reporting: Act as the primary liaison for Property Managers. Report immediately on any issues arising on their properties to ensure transparency and rapid resolution.

Sales, Budgeting & Enhancements

  • Budget Management: Propose, track, and secure approval for annual budgeted items, including Hardwood Pruning, Seasonal Flowers, Winter Overseeding, and Olive Spraying.
  • Enhancement Sales: Identify site needs and propose enhancements. Once approved, manage the full lifecycle: plan, flag the site, review the completed work, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Digital Estimating: Utilize Property Intel and Maricopa County Assessor maps to generate precise measurements for enhancement installation maps and proposals.
  • Pipeline Management: Actively maintain sales pipelines in ASPIRE for Irrigation, Enhancements, Tree Trimming, and Storm Damage. Assist in the invoicing process for these projects to ensure timely billing.

Field Operations & Quality Control

  • Site Audits: Conduct comprehensive "walk and review" inspections of properties to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and immediate sales opportunities.
  • Irrigation Management: Report irrigation malfunctions, prepare detailed Irrigation Assessment proposals, and invoice all irrigation work upon completion.
  • Storm Response: Immediately assess properties following weather events, reporting storm damage and proposing replacement or cleanup services accordingly.
  • Operational Support: Assist with purchasing and material delivery for enhancements when needed. Occasionally assist with the installation of warranty plants and small quantities of seasonal flowers to ensure timely completion.
  • Crew Direction: Prepare and submit rotation maps to maintenance managers to ensure crews are efficient. Upload new property maps to the company Drive to keep site data current for field teams.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Landscape Account Management or Sales.
  • Software Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with ASPIRE landscape software is highly preferred. Proficiency with Property Intel, Microsoft Office, and cloud storage (Google Drive/SharePoint) is a plus.
  • Horticultural Knowledge: Strong understanding of Arizona plant material, commercial maintenance cycles (overseeding, olive fruit suppression), and pruning standards.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret Maricopa County Assessor maps and plot site maps.
  • Driver’s License: Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean record.

Key Competencies

  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage administrative workflows (invoicing, mapping, pipelines) with high accuracy.
  • Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills for dealing with Commercial Property Managers and Asset Owners.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to move between corporate settings (lunches/banquets) and field settings (flagging sites/planting warranty shrubs).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $60,000
  • Commission: Performance-based commission on Enhancements and New Business.
  • Benefits: [Health/Dental/Vision/401k/Vehicle Allowance]
