Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electronic systems and support structure with a soldering iron or other hand tools to install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings. Openings are currently available on second shift (3 pm-1:30 am) at our Brooklyn Park Facility.

What You'll Be Contributing
  • Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from matrix documentation and SOPs.
  • Place, wire, solder, and utilize hot soldering iron to connect and encapsulate PC boards and/or units.
  • Test, label, package, and deliver to stockroom.

  • Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
  • Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports.
  • May confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
  • May explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Ability to use a computer, hand tools, gauges, and testers
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day to perform hand solder with hot soldering iron, inspect boards under a microscope, make simple repairs, etc.
  • Uses microscope for precision work and to perform inspections.
  • Perform simple hand grasp and dexterity required to solder, encapsulate, correct defects, hold tools, etc.
  • Ability to move, carry, or lift objects or materials weighing up to 30 pounds frequently

  • Manufacturing environment - moderate noise level, indoor and climate-controlled

Pay Range: $20.92-21.97
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
