Job description

General Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) | Banner University Medicine | University of Arizona
The Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson, in collaboration with Banner - University Medicine Tucson, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join its outpatient neurology practice. The successful candidate will provide subspecialty-focused care while working collaboratively with one or more neurology faculty members.
The specific area of practice will be determined based on departmental clinical needs, as well as the candidate's experience, qualifications, and professional interests. Potential areas of focus include neuromuscular medicine, comprehensive neurology, epilepsy, and movement disorders.
This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise within a neurologic subspecialty, participate in multidisciplinary patient care, and work closely with experienced subspecialty faculty in an academic clinical environment.

Clinical & Academic Environment
The Department of Neurology at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson provides comprehensive neurologic care through a robust network of subspecialty programs and multidisciplinary clinics.
The General Neurology service evaluates and manages a diverse patient population with conditions including:
• Headache and Migraine Disorders
• Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders
• Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunologic Conditions
• Peripheral Neuropathies
• Movement Disorders
• Cognitive and Memory Disorders
• Neuromuscular Diseases
• Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke Follow-Up
The APP will work collaboratively with faculty neurologists and subspecialty teams to provide outpatient evaluation, treatment planning, follow-up care, patient education, and care coordination.
As part of an academic medical center, providers have access to state-of-the-art facilities, advanced diagnostic resources, and a collegial environment focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for patients throughout Southern Arizona.

Qualifications Required
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Eligible for Arizona NP or PA licensure
• DEA eligibility

• Prior neurology, internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, or rehabilitation experience
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
