Position Summary:

Facilitates comprehensive training programs across designated areas and subjects, including onboarding for new hires and refresher sessions as required. Delivers teller training in both classroom and branch environments, with an emphasis on advanced teller duties and form procedures. Provides training to Personal Bankers & Retail Management and ensures they are kept informed of any procedural updates. Ensures exemplary customer service by addressing customer and training needs efficiently and professionally. This role demands extensive knowledge of retail banking products, advanced new account procedures, teller operations, compliance, and general banking operations.


Duties:

  • Assist with development and execution of comprehensive training programs for new and existing employees
  • Conduct training sessions on various banking products, services and sales, and compliance regulations
  • Provide support to retail branch staff
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and consultations with management
  • Create training materials, including manuals, and visual aids
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure training content is current and relevant
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees as needed
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify and address specific training needs
  • Attend scheduled career enrichment or continuing education arranged by the Retail Training & Development Coordinator
  • Other duties as assigned by the Retail Training & Development Coordinator
  • All other job duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have prior banking experience in a role involving cash handling
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, policy and procedure, banking products & services, retail applications, and regulatory requirements
  • Must have the proven ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and interactions with staff and customers


Preferred Qualification

  • 2-3 years of previous banking, training, or sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, education, or a related field
  • Proficiency in using training software and platforms

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

  • Primarily office or branch-based environment with standard business hours. Occasional travel to other branch locations or community events may be required

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
