Job description

Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for a Java Backend Developer for their Jersey City, NJ/ Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide Support/develop support for modernization initiatives within the RRA driving test coverage, automation, and validation of both functional and non functional requirements.
  • Partner closely with trading, product, development, and DevOps leadership to assess delivery risk, influence design decisions, and embed quality early through shift left and shift right testing practices.
  • Act as a key stakeholder for production readiness, ensuring operational resilience, stability, and compliance for mission critical front to back trading workflows

Requirements:
  • 5 years of hands on experience validating and assuring quality of production systems built with Java based backend, with a strong focus on reliability, correctness, and user experience.
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including object oriented design, microservices architectures, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments, enabling effective test strategy design across the SDLC.
  • Proven experience testing distributed systems, event driven architectures, and real time or near real time data pipelines, including failure scenarios, data consistency, and performance under load.
  • Skilled in defining and executing test plans, test automation strategies, and quality gates for agile delivery, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
