This individual will be based in Schererville, IN

WORK HOURS:

Lobby & Drive-Up

Monday-Friday: 8:15am - 5:15pm

Saturday: 8:15am - 12:15pm

Schedule will vary according to business needs. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including Saturday. Hours subject to change to meet business needs.

SUMMARY:

The Relationship Banker is responsible for enhancing customer relationships by providing excellent customer service while servicing all the customers’ financial needs. This position calls for individuals who have a passion for superior customer service and are enthusiastic and team oriented. In this dual role, the Relationship Banker will handle a variety of financial transactions and new account openings for individual and business clients. The Relationship Banker will look for opportunities that support the bank's strategy by engaging with customers to meet their financial needs and make referrals to business partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support relationship building efforts within the branch.
  • Contribute to overall branch operation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education - High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience - One (1) year job-related experience preferably in a banking, sales or customer service environment.
  • Other - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Banking experience.
  • Effective customer relationship building skills including ability to sell, cross-sell, and refer products.
  • Basic knowledge of retail products, policy and procedures, documentation and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
