WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of banking professionals to achieve branch sales goals and service standards.
  • Drive client acquisition, through relationship management, and consultative cross-selling of Harford Bank products and services.
  • Develop and execute local business development and marketing strategies to grow the branch’s customer base.
  • Monitor branch performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results.
  • Build a culture of accountability, customer focus, community engagement, ethics, and continuous development.
  • Develop and execute a plan to “own” your branch footprint, including:
    • Build and actively manage a prospect list.
    • Prospect through drop-ins and scheduled appointments, including joint calls with internal partners.
    • Attend and participate in networking events each month.
    • Maintain regular contact with top customers to exceed expectations and proactively uncover additional needs.
  • Leverage existing Centers of Influence (COIs) and build new referral relationships to generate new deposits and expand revenue streams (e.g., merchant services, remote deposit capture, ACH, lines of credit, and other financing options) through joint calling with the Lending Team and support from senior leadership.

Responsible for understanding the Bank's BSA/AML Policy, including satisfactory completion of required annual BSA/AML training as applicable to position and appropriately applying this knowledge to daily activities and responsibilities, specifically understanding that any suspicious activity must be reported to the BSA Officer immediately.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or financial services.
  • Proven success in retail banking, with a strong focus on relational sales and customer service.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a managerial role with external sales responsibilities. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer and small business banking products.
