Job description

Overview
The purpose of this job would be to strategically manage the Middle Market & Corporate Banking unit, achieve middle market & corporate banking goals, increase revenue thru expanding market share through quality loan growth, deposit growth, cross selling of other bank product and developing qualified middle market & corporate banking relationship mangers. The position would be responsible for working closely with senior management to develop strategies to gain competitive advantage, expanding the client base, and growing the Trustmark brand within the banking market, all while ensuring compliance to all regulatory standards, adherence to best practices in risk management and continuing the tradition of excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
  • Lead staff to accomplish division and corporate goals through loan growth, fees, deposits, cash management services, and cross sell to other product lines.
  • Expand and Monitor customer relationships through referrals & quality service of the department.
  • Business calls to customers and prospects individually & with staff to provide quality customer service, trust, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Give guidance by reviewing loan applications for compliance and company policies regarding income, assets, credit history and other factors.
  • Develop structuring and financing recommendations that are tailored to the client's needs.
  • Develop and execute market strategies for market growth and retention.
  • Responsible for increasing portfolios for middle market & corporate banking businesses.
  • Keep abreast of changes in the marketplace that could impact the client's business and actively communicate those changes.
  • Staff Development via coaching/training.
  • Explore opportunities and recommend strategies for cross selling of products and services based on understanding of the client analysis and needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Community Involvement.
  • Sound credit risk practices.

Qualifications
  • Four-year college education
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in middle market and corporate banking lending or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience effectively managing individual loan portfolio
  • Extensive experience in the local market
  • In depth knowledge of compliance laws and regulations
  • Extensive knowledge of capital market solutions and loan syndications
  • Enhanced knowledge of pricing models, profitability forecasting, and credit analysis practice and procedure.
